Yoga Matrika was opened with the intention to strengthen the creative energies of the community and Karmic Salons are just one way that we have developed to support this goal. "Colombia en Pittsburgh and Colombia Vision are very pleased to invite you to the Sixth Annual Mallorca Fundraiser Luncheon at Mallorca Restaurant, at 2228 East Carson Street in the South Side area of Pittsburgh (tel: 412-488-1818). Thanks to the many generous individuals who have participated in previous years, we have been able to cover the expenses of establishing and operating a children's library as well as supporting Hogar Angeles, a safe haven in Cartago, Colombia. With the last two luncheons at Mallorca, the Hogar was able to get a microbus to safely transport the girls. Hogar Angeles has changed the lives of 30 girls and today provides a home, education, medical assistance and loving care to 20 little ones who for many reasons cannot be with their families.
"As in previous years, the luncheon will feature a delicious Mallorca
feast (with appetizers, entrees, sangria and an assortment of desserts). We
will have a silent auction of fine jewelry and bottles of wines. "

SlideWorldWide is a "neo-contemporary, funk, soul, Brass Band",
with 2 outstanding percussionistas (Elie Kihonia, Jim DeSpirito),
plus Hill Jordan on trombones, Rick Nolan on sax (bari, alto), & Professor
Beautiful on tuba.
We start playing around noon. (or, return at 4:15 for the world-wide jam!)
If nothing else, come by near the end (4:30-5:30) for a music free-for-all.
Flow Fest is an art/music eco/festival to benefit the Tireless Project,
a collaborative effort of nonprofits to remove trash and debris along Pittsburgh’s
three rivers. Take the dragon-boat from the North Side!4 bands, 6 artists, interesting
food vendors, exhibitors.
